Leeds door opens to seal stunning Gus Hamer transfer from Sheffield United
Sheffield United’s play-off final loss could open numerous transfer opportunities for Leeds United.
The Blades were defeated 2-1 by Sunderland to confirm that the Black Cats will be the final team to join the Peacocks in the Premier League next season.
Sheffield United will no doubt feel hard done by after they were competing with Daniel Farke’s side for the Championship title for most of the campaign.
However, their loss could now be Leeds’ gain as the Yorkshire club prepares for the upcoming transfer window.

Leeds will surely secure Hamer transfer after Sheffield United play-off defeat
One of Sheffield United’s best players this season has been Gus Hamer.
The midfielder has been excellent for the Blades and assisted their opener at Wembley on Saturday.
Hamer was awarded the Championship Player of the Season award, but despite his efforts, he is currently set to remain in the second tier.

This is where Farke could swoop in. Leeds have been linked with Hamer previously.
However, it was said that the transfer of Hamer to Leeds would only happen if Sheffield United didn’t go up but the Peacocks did.
Now that these conditions have been met, Farke will surely make a move for the midfielder.
Hamer would add a vital bit of quality to the core of Leeds’ team, and his previous experience in a Premier League relegation battle is a bonus.

Leeds should look at more Championship stars
As overpriced as some Championship players are, there is a bargain to be had if the move is right.
Morgan Rodgers’ move from Middlesbrough to Aston Villa is the perfect example, with the Englishman turning into one of the best players in the country in just over a year.
This is 100 per cent a market Leeds need to be looking at. On top of Hamer, there are some great players in the second tier who can make the jump to the Premier League under the right conditions.
Hopefully, Farke is looking at potential options with the transfer window just days away from opening.
