‘Leeds aware of major red flag’ as Diego Carlos bid update emerges
Leeds United have been linked with a move to sign Diego Carlos.
Daniel Farke has already welcomed several new faces to his squad this summer ahead of their return to the Premier League, including a midfielder who could be their new Kalvin Phillips.
However, given the level of quality needed to stay up in the top flight, Leeds will be looking to add several more to the squad, with attacking arrivals likely to be high up on the list of priorities.
With that said, the Whites have been linked with another defender in former Villa star Carlos, and they will be more than aware of the red flags that would emerge if a deal were to be pursued.

Carlos injury concerns must be considered before transfer
It was reported that Fenerbahce will only consider a loan-to-buy offer for Carlos, who has attracted interest from Leeds, Sunderland and Burnley ahead of the new campaign.
Given his experience and quality, it would be another statement addition for the Whites, but they must be taking notes of his injury record before making a move.
Carlos | Days missed | Games missed |
Since 22/23 season | 348 | 55 |
In the last two seasons alone, the 32-year-old has missed 27 games, with seven different injuries in that time period.
Prior to that, he spent over 200 days on the sidelines at Aston Villa after rupturing his Achilles tendon, with another 28 games missed.
If Leeds commit to what would likely be a high-valued package deal, it could be a huge risk.

Leeds must prioritise other areas
While Carlos may be a good signing, Leeds have already bolstered their defence significantly and need to turn their focus elsewhere.
The Whites simply have to sign a striker in the coming weeks, otherwise all of their work will amount to nothing.
Goals win games, and until the Whites secure someone capable of scoring them, it will be hard to be overly optimistic about their chances in the Premier League.
