Leeds already prepare for life without Sebastiaan Bornauw as new transfer lined up
Sebastiaan Bornauw probably knows Daniel Farke doesn’t value him at Leeds United.
The Whites spent around £5million to sign the 26-year-old from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer, but he’s made just one appearance for them this season, featuring in the Carabao Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in August.
Bornauw has every excuse to demand a January exit from Elland Road, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the West Yorkshire outfit give him what he wants.
Jaka Bijol has also struggled for game time under Farke, losing his starting spot after some poor displays, and the Peacocks now look to bolster their defence once again.

Chibuike Nwaiwu to replace Sebastiaan Bornauw at Leeds United
Chibuike Nwaiwu is a 22-year-old centre-back who has made a name for himself in the Admiral Bundesliga with Wolfsberger.
The Nigerian defender has caught many people’s attention with his performances at the Austrian outfit, prompting interest from Elland Road.
Leeds are one of the teams keeping tabs on Nwaiwu, with the youngster showcasing immense potential so far.
Top Mercato reported on 1 December that the Nigerian defender is attracting heavy interest from Ligue 1 clubs, including RC Lens, LOSC Lille, Olympique Marseille, Strasbourg and Paris Saint-Germain.
Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk seem to be the preferred partnership at the West Yorkshire outfit, but they will still need enough depth in the backline regardless of whether they’re playing in the Premier League or Championship.
The Peacocks have a short-term priority regarding their prospects in the English top flight, but they still need to keep an eye on potential reinforcements for the coming years.
Daniel Farke sack a matter of time after latest development at Elland Road
Gary O’Neil has emerged as a potential replacement for Farke, with the German manager’s position in LS11 uncertain.
The former Bournemouth and Wolves boss has emerged as a contender for the Leeds job as they look to avoid Premier League relegation.
| Competition | Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses |
| Premier League | 13 | 3 | 2 | 9 |
As things stand, the Whites are in the relegation zone, and with news coming out of potential appointments, it seems like Farke doesn’t have much time left.
What the future holds for the former Norwich City boss remains to be seen.
