Largie Ramazani’s Valencia future has been up in the air, with doubts that the Spanish side would come back for the Leeds United loanee in the summer.

It has been a black-and-white campaign for the loanee, who endured early struggles in Spain after signing for Valencia.

In recent weeks, he has put his head down and become an important asset for the Bats, leaving his future this summer at Elland Road up in the air.

The Whites will have to decide whether to keep the 25-year-old around next season as Valencia weigh up the financial chances of re-signing him.

Now, the Spanish club’s fanbase could force them into a transfer decision over Ramazani, as recent developments showcase how much supporters appreciate him in the East Coast city.

How Largie Ramazani could still secure Valencia move away from Leeds

According to Spanish outlet AS, cutting Ramazani’s loan short was considered in January, but in the end, the winger remained at Valencia.

For the La Liga club, it turned out to be the correct decision and one that also left Leeds United without having a transfer headache in the January window.

The Whites would have had to seek out another club for the Belgian, with Daniel Farke previously admitting that Ramazani needed “a few other attributes and skills” required for a newly promoted team.

However, more interestingly, after the Bats’ 1-0 loss to Elche over the weekend, Ramazani’s reputation among Valencia fans seems to be at an all-time high after his recent showings.

The Leeds loanee was just one of three players applauded by the La Liga outfit’s fanbase. Ramazani becoming a favourite at Valencia could have implications for his future in LS11.

It has been reported that Valencia are unlikely to chase Ramazani due to the finances involved. But with pressure from fans, the board could be tempted to U-turn.

He has scored five goals since 24 January as Valencia fights to keep its top-flight status.

Could Largie Ramazani still have a role to play for Leeds?

Ramazani has come on leaps and bounds since the end of January, and perhaps he may have given himself a lifeline at Elland Road.

If the Whites are looking to kick on and remove themselves from the bottom of the table clash next season, then the lack of attributes Farke mentioned may not be as much of an issue.

Leeds do hold the final say in the future of the winger, with his contract intact until 2028. Additionally, Valencia do not have a purchase option.

Overall, Valencia’s decision against terminating the winger’s loan may have simply just kicked the can down the road at Elland Road.

It still remains to be seen how valued Ramazani is by Farke.

The Whites will have a major decision to make this summer about the player’s future, and for Valencia, they may be pressured by fans to bring him back to Mestalla.
