Karl Darlow to feel hard done by as Leeds United make Illan Meslier mistake after Sunderland error
Karl Darlow is likely to feel disappointed that Leeds United are sticking by Illan Meslier after his horrendous error against Sunderland.
The Frenchman had a moment of madness against the Black Cats which saw the home side draw level deep into added time to throw away a win for the Whites.
This moment has been heavily criticised by supporters which wasn’t helped by the keeper smiling and laughing with opposition boss Regis Le Bris after the full-time whistle.
Despite this, Daniel Farke is keeping faith in the 24-year-old with GIVEMESPORT reporting on 9 October that he isn’t in danger of losing his spot in the starting XI.
This news will be is likely to be frustrating to the number two keeper Darlow who has been waiting for an opportunity since joining last summer.
Karl Darlow to be frustrated with Leeds United Illan Meslier decision
Wales international Darlow completed a move to Elland Road from Newcastle United where he had won promotion from the Championship in 2017.
This experience benefited Farke’s squad which came so close to earning a place in the Premier League last campaign.
With that being said, the 34-year-old was only afforded four appearances throughout the season with him picking up just one more in the opening months this year.
Darlow may have thought it was his time to prove himself as number one for the Whites after Meslier’s bizarre error at the Stadium of Light.
There was so much frustration that was clear to see after the game with Junior Firpo a clear example as he stormed down the tunnel at full time.

Even though this is the case, it appears that Farke is going to maintain his faith in the Frenchman who performed so well last campaign.
It is certainly a decision for the German manager to make which will be scrutinised no matter what choice he makes.
