Jorgen Strand Larsen transfer fate comes clear for Leeds as reduced bid submitted
Leeds United’s race to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen looks to be coming to an end.
Not for the first time this season, Leeds were on the receiving end of a hammering against Arsenal on Sunday, with very few, if any, of the Whites’ players emerging with any credit after the game.
Perhaps the biggest takeaway was again the lack of attacking threat posed by Leeds when Dominic Calvert-Lewin isn’t getting the service he thrives on.
That has again highlighted the need for the Whites to sign a new striker, or at least an attacker, before Monday’s deadline, having been linked with a move to bring Strand Larsen to Elland Road.
However, that pursuit looks to be coming to an end, and not one that favours Leeds.

Crystal Palace submit new offer for Jorgen Strand Larsen
It has become apparent over the last week that Strand Larsen is set to leave Wolves, and after it was reported that Palace had agreed a £50million package deal for the Norwegian, his fate looked sealed.
That was until Wolves never received that offer, casting doubt over the deal.
However, as per David Ornstein, the Eagles have now submitted a reduced £48m offer to sign Strand Larsen, with it claimed there is a strong chance that the bid will be accepted.
Up until now, Leeds have remained interested in the striker, but made it clear that they were not willing to budge beyond their £40m valuation.
But now, with a new offer on the table that has surpassed that, it seems highly unlikely that the Whites will pursue it.

49ers have less than 30 hours to address two major Leeds concerns
Signing another forward is an absolute must for Leeds if they are to survive in the Premier League this season, though the same thing was said in the summer.
However, keeping goals out at the other end is going to be just as important, and after Karl Darlow’s poor display against the Gunners, it’s also clear that they need to sign a new goalkeeper.
Lucas Perri has had an exit blocked from Elland Road, while Illan Meslier and Darlow have done little to showcase that they are worthy of a number one shirt.
The Whites have until 7pm on Monday to address those two key concerns; otherwise, the 49ers will be set to face a lot of scrutiny, again.
