Joel Piroe set for January exit from Leeds United as transfer update drops at OGC Nice
Joel Piroe could be set to end his nightmare season at Leeds United in January.
Piroe has hardly played for Leeds this campaign despite being one of the main reasons behind promotion to the Premier League.
The Dutchman hasn’t been helped by Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s heroics at Leeds, as the summer signing has stolen the starting striker role in LS11.
Daniel Farke has also opted to utilise Lukas Nmecha regularly for Leeds this season, with Noah Okafor also featuring as a striker this season.
With the January window just days away, a move away from Elland Road could be on the cards for Piroe as links emerge from OGC Nice.

Joel Piroe could fall victim to OGC Nice developments
Piroe looks destined to leave Leeds in January after a largely positive spell since his 2023 move from Swansea City.
The 26-year-old has scored 33 goals for the Whites, but things just haven’t worked out for him in the Premier League.
Farke has reduced the forward to just 200 minutes, with just two of his nine appearances coming as starts against Arsenal and Everton.
His involvement is only likely to drop even further with Leeds targeting a move for OGC Nice striker Terem Moffi this winter.

Online outlet MediaFoot have reported interest from the Yorkshire club, which has suggested that an approach is in the pipeline for the Nigerian.
If he were to make a January switch to LS11, there is every chance that Piroe moves in the other direction to help balance the books.
Piroe done if Terem Moffi joins Leeds United
Moffi would certainly represent a useful option for the Whites at this stage as an option alongside or as backup to Calvert-Lewin.
The 26-year-old physically profiles in a similar fashion to the Englishman, so would be more of a like-for-like alternative for Farke.

That is something that Piroe can’t provide, so it would make total sense for him to move on this winter if the chance arises.
It will be interesting to see how the January window plays out, but it looks destined to be the end of the road for the Dutchman in Yorkshire.
