Joe Rodon could push for transfer as he finally finds his home at Leeds United
Tottenham and Wales defender Ben Davies has claimed that Joe Rodon has found his home at Leeds United during his loan spell, and he could now push for a permanent move.
Davies claimed Rodon can step up his game when he feels valued and is given a consistent run of games, much like what is happening under Daniel Farke at Leeds.
This comes just days after Phil Hay shared a permanent move could be on the cards in the summer, despite Spurs chairman Daniel Levy asking for a £50million fee. [The Square Ball, 9 November]

Davies was speaking to Wales Online [13 November] when he shared: “Sometimes people forget how challenging it is going somewhere and then you have to move every nine months to a new place. But I think he really seems to have found himself a home at Leeds.
“Joe is a terrific player. Every time I play with him with Wales he is very solid, good on the ball and I think we have a good understanding. To see him have success at Leeds, it really does make me happy.
“He is the type of player that, when he is at somewhere he is feeling valued and he is getting a good run of games, he is a really, really good defender and I think he is showing that right now.”
A permanent move could be the best opportunity for all parties, with Leeds recognising the value Rodon provides to their team, while the defender is clearly more than happy with how his loan spell has gone so far.
That £50million price tag slapped on his head by Spurs may be out of Leeds’ reach, particularly if they do not achieve promotion this season, but he is showing his worth to Leeds and they could be tempted to go big in an attempt to keep him at Elland Road next season.

Given the high-value Rodon is apparently held in at Tottenham, made clear by a frankly outrageous asking price delivered to Leeds in the summer, it is clear that any permanent move for the defender will need to be the right one for all parties.
If Rodon wants to make the permanent switch to Elland Road, something which is not out of the question given his impressive performances, fit for the style of play, and lack of opportunity at his parent club, it could be a deal which he pushes to make happen.
