Jayden Bogle in line to do something at Leeds United that he’s never done before
Jayden Bogle’s performances at Leeds United have gone somewhat under the radar this season.
Leeds United remain in a good place to secure safety in the Premier League, having secured yet another point on their travels away to Chelsea on Tuesday.
Daniel Farke has worked wonders tactically to get the Whites on form, though a lot of their recent success has been down to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has 10 goals so far this season.
Calvert-Lewin has been widely tipped to make the England squad for the World Cup in the summer, and yet he may not be the only Leeds star in contention.
Thomas Tuchel needs another trip to Elland Road
Aside from Harry Kane, there has been no English striker in as good form as Calvert-Lewin, making his World Cup inclusion seem like a no-brainer.
However, aside from Reece James, there’s also a case to be made that there has been no English right-back in as good form as Bogle this season.
The 25-year-old has three goal contributions in all competitions for Leeds this season, but it is his quality at both ends of the pitch that has been crucial to Leeds’ success.
And that is demonstrated by the Sofascore graphic, which highlights his defensive capability.

Bogle has not only posed a threat in transition, but with 1.96 tackles and 4.21 ball recoveries per game, he has played a pivotal role in containing the threat posed by opposition teams.
Consistency has been his biggest attribute this season, and if he can maintain that between now and the end of the campaign, a spot in the England squad is certainly on the cards.
Jayden Bogle could join rare Leeds United list this summer
If Bogle’s performances are rewarded as they should be, he will make it into the England squad for the World Cup.
And if so, he would join a fairly short list of players who have achieved the feat while playing for the Whites in recent years.
Kalvin Phillips, who joined Sheffield United in the winter, is one of them, with Patrick Bamford also having played for England while being at Leeds United.
Although the striker had made just one appearance for England back in 2022.
Other names include the likes of Jack Charlton, Rio Ferdinand and Norman Hunter.
