Fiorentina developments to send shivers down the spine of Leeds United

Leeds fans will be baffled by what has happened at Fiorentina.

Daniel Farke has Leeds exactly where he would want them, having secured another three points last time out against Nottingham Forest.

Several players earned their plaudits for their involvement in that win, which momentarily took the Whites nine points clear of the bottom three, before West Ham secured victory away to Burnley.

However, as always, there are plenty of past Leeds players looking to make their marks at their current clubs, and two of them are doing just that at Fiorentina.

Jack Harrison did something he hadn’t managed since 2024

Jack Harrison’s move to Fiorentina was well documented, if not slightly baffling.

Despite having shown nothing at Leeds in the first half of the Premier League campaign or anything throughout his two seasons with Everton, he earned himself another excellent move.

And on just his third appearance for the Italian club, Harrison registered his first assist since all the way back in 2024, having failed to do anything of note this season for Leeds.

However, that was not at all, as the scorer of the opening goal for Fiorentina is also very recognisable at Elland Road, in Manor Solomon.

Solomon was heavily linked with a return to Leeds in the summer, and even again loosely in January, but the Serie A was his destination on loan from Tottenham.

His goal is not surprising given the form he showcased in the Championship, but to see two ex-Leeds players contributing to a big result in the top flight of Italy is certainly an interesting prospect.

Could Leeds still look into Manor Solomon deal?

As mentioned above, Solomon is just on loan from Tottenham, meaning there is a chance that he returns to North London in the summer.

And depending on how he fares between now and then, it would easily be worth another look for the Whites, who will be looking to add goals to their squad for the next campaign, regardless of the division.

Solomon would bring that, and having shown how much he enjoyed his time at Elland Road, and the way he adapted to the environment, it would not be the worst move Leeds could make.

Time will only tell on that one.
