Farke to axe Rothwell and defender – Leeds United predicted XI v QPR

Daniel Farke could give Josuha Guilavogui his first start in an interesting rotation for Leeds United against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Leeds contend with their third game in seven days [9 November] as Elland Road plays host to the struggling Hoops before the international break.

Guilavogui made his debut in the win over Plymouth Argyle on 2 November but was an unused substitute in the defeat at Millwall four days later – however, he could be a key player to provide cover during the rigorous schedule.

Daniel Farke to make two changes to Leeds United side v QPR

If Guilavogui does make his full Leeds bow, it would be considered likelier to be in place of Joe Rothwell than the younger Ao Tanaka, though Rothwell’s dead-ball ability could be missed should Farke make that decision.

Elsewhere, Jayden Bogle struggled on his return from suspension at Millwall, with Sam Byram having deputised for both he and Junior Firpo of late in both full-back positions.

Byram was arguably the Whites’ most prominent performer in the goalless draw at Bristol City [26 October], and Farke will now be more convinced he can trust the 31-year-old as a greater part of his promotion-hunting squad.

Bogle was certainly not the only individual to disappoint at The Den, with Willy Gnonto and Dan James having off days on either wing.

But on song on Saturday, the duo could single-handedly destroy QPR, and to keep Joel Piroe up front for his longer-term confidence if he bags a couple of goals would also be wise.

Gnonto, along with Joe Rodon, both remain on four league bookings and a yellow card on Saturday would see them each suspended for the trip to Rodon’s former club Swansea City [24 November].
