Ethan Ampadu must not waste Leeds United opportunity he’s been presented with this week
Ethan Ampadu may be frustratingly sidelined through injury right now but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still a huge influence around the Leeds United squad.
The Whites skipper is likely to be out until at least January after sustaining knee ligament damage in the 3-0 win over Coventry City on 28 September.
Ampadu is a hugely influential figure in this youthful Leeds side and his absence is obviously huge in their attempt to return to the Premier League.
However, while he may not be able to impart his widow during games, Ampadu has a great opportunity at Thorp Arch this week and it is one he must wait.
Lucas Radebe to meet with Ethan Ampadu at Leeds United this week
Leeds confirmed that club legend Lucas Radebe will be in attendance at Thorp Arch this week as a guest of the club and will attend one of Daniel Farke’s training sessions.
LeedsLive (14 October) added that Radebe, who made over 250 Leeds appearances and is an absolute icon among the Elland Road faithful, will meet with Ampadu at the training ground.
What an opportunity that is for Ampadu to pick the brains of one of the club’s absolute all-time greats and some who knows all about how to handle the pressure of playing for such a prestigious club.
Ampadu should be asking all manner of questions and using any pearls of wisdom he can get from Radebe to help guide Leeds in what is a potentially crucial season.

After agonisingly missing out on promotion following a play-off final defeat to Southampton this season, there is a huge desire to right that wrong and get back to the promised land this time around.
Ampadu, both on the pitch and off it, is a man who can shoulder the responsibility of leading this team in what is a hugely pressurised campaign.
But if he can get a bit of help from a club legend in the meantime, then it is something he should absolutely look to be doing.
