El Khannouss signs – Which attacker Farke could axe at Leeds United
Leeds have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Leicester star Bilal El Khannouss.
The Peacocks could meet the £24.5million release clause in El Khannouss’ contract, with Leicester in need of some funds following relegation and financial difficulties.
All focus has been on incomings for the Whites this summer, with Daniel Farke significantly adding to his defence.
With El Khannouss potentially adding to Lukas Nmecha in the forward line, MOT Leeds News looks at who could make way for the Foxes ace.

Largie Ramazani could make way for El Khannouss
Ramazani has so far struggled to nail down a starting place at Elland Road.
The Belgium international has been regularly linked with an exit this summer and could look for regular gametime elsewhere.
Player | Goal contributions |
Ramazani | 9 |
El Khannouss | 8 |
- Ramazani averages a goal contribution every 168.56 minutes across his career
- In comparison, El Khannouss averages one every 367.11 minutes
- Ramazani averages 4.29 progressive passes per 90 compared to El Khannouss’ 5.28 (FBref)
Though Ramazani‘s stats look better on paper than El Khannouss’, the Moroccan international has gathered top-flight experience.
Ramazani joined from Spanish side Almeria last summer, and though he impressed in patches, the likes of Willy Gnonto and Dan James managed to get the nod over the winger.
Both Ramazani and El Khannouss play primarily as left wingers, so it is expected that, should Leeds continue to push for the Leicester star, Ramazani could continue to find his gametime limited.
The Foxes ace gathered plenty of Premier League experience last campaign with Leicester, and though they struggled, El Khannouss was one of the few positives.
At 24, Ramazani won’t be keen to sit on the bench for Farke’s side, and the Peacocks could look to recoup some of the reported £10million they paid for him to spend elsewhere.

Farke would regret selling Ramazani
Should Leeds sell Ramazani, they could find themselves regretting the transfer.
The Peacocks need depth upfront, and ultimately, Ramazani deserves his opportunity in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old has shown that he can contribute wherever he goes, so why not trust the winger in the top flight?
