Douglas Luiz transfer: ‘Leeds United fans to be delighted’ as likely move emerges

Leeds United could potentially delight fans by signing former Manchester City midfielder Douglas Luiz this transfer window.

The Brazil international with 18 caps for his national team sealed a move to Juventus after impressing at Aston Villa, but the midfielder has struggled to settle in Serie A.

Luiz has been linked with a move to Elland Road, and his transfer would definitely show ambition from 49ers Enterprises in LS11.

Daniel Farke must be backed in the Premier League if the Whites want to have the best chance of avoiding immediate relegation, and the 27-year-old could possibly be on his way back to England to help matters in West Yorkshire.

Premier League transfer most likely for Luiz amid Leeds United interest

Luiz is most likely to return to the Premier League if he leaves Juventus this summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The news outlet reports (23 June) that the Brazilian star could leave the Italian giants in the coming weeks, with a move to the English top flight on the cards.

It’s been claimed that Igor Tudor can’t guarantee him a starting spot at the Serie A outfit, giving the 27-year-old a decision to make about his future.

While Luiz has struggled to fulfil his potential at Juventus, the Elland Road faithful will be aware of his exploits in the Premier League.

The Brazil international developed into one of the best midfielders in the English top flight during his spell at Aston Villa, and the Whites fans will undoubtedly be delighted if he can get back to his best with a move to West Yorkshire.

Farke should push for the 27-year-old’s transfer at the Peacocks as they evidently need more quality in the engine room after Joe Rothwell’s departure.

Leeds must take Luiz transfer opportunity at Elland Road

Josuha Guilavogui’s exit from Leeds has left them with a lack of depth in the middle of the park, something that was an issue for the Whites last season.

The West Yorkshire outfit signed the French veteran in October after injuries to Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev.

Farke wouldn’t want to leave himself short of options in the Premier League as he looks to maintain the Peacocks’ status in the top flight.

Paraag Marathe must start a new era in Leeds, as fans wouldn’t be pleased with another relegation.

If the Whites can get Luiz back to his best, it would undoubtedly increase their chances of being successful in the Premier League next season.

With the 27-year-old’s return to England on the horizon, it would make sense for the 49ers to do everything they can to pursue him to West Yorkshire.
