Dominic Calvert-Lewin ‘shows true class’ after what Daniel Farke said about Leeds star
Dominic Calvert-Lewin was a questionable signing for Leeds in the summer, but he has impressed in the early stages of the season.
Calvert-Lewin netted in Leeds’ win away at Wolves, after a few weeks in which his side failed to find the back of the net at all.
The striker joined on a free transfer from Everton, and arrived as Leeds’ most experienced top-flight player late on in the transfer window.
Leeds may have struck gold with Calvert-Lewin, with Daniel Farke now revealing something truly brilliant he has done behind the scenes.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin helping Harry Gray in training
Calvert-Lewin arrived at Elland Road with a point to prove after being released by Everton, and he has come in with the right attitude towards training.
Youngster Harry Gray is seen as a top prospect up front, and as Leeds’ most experienced Premier League player, Calvert-Lewin has been aiding his development.
Speaking via Leeds Live, Farke praised Calvert-Lewin for his attitude in training, and revealed the extra mile he has gone to with Gray.
Stat | Calvert-Lewin |
Appearances | 242 |
Goals | 58 |
Assists | 18 |
“From the day he walked in, he has been brilliant,” Farke stated of Calvert-Lewin.
“His attitude and whole behaviour in the dressing room, leading young players and giving hints to young players like Harry Gray in training.
“He’s the most experienced teammate with Premier League appearances. He tries the natural way to take on more responsibility in the dressing room.”
But the most important responsibility is still to deliver on the pitch.
“What he has done so far is amazing, even in his short term appearances in the beginning and now in the starting XI.
“Not just the goal but the workload. I have experienced a great guy who is on it and very professional.”

Dominic Calvert-Lewin playing useful role for Leeds
Calvert-Lewin has already netted for Leeds, and fans will hope that there is more to come in front of goal in what could be a tough season in a relegation battle.
Even beyond his performances on the pitch, his experience and leadership off it could make Calvert-Lewin a very useful asset for Leeds.
Farke is clearly impressed with what he has seen, and he may help Gray develop into a top-class attacker.
Very few Leeds fans would have picked out Calvert-Lewin as their main striker signing, but if he can stay fit, he could be a huge asset this season.
