Dominic Calvert-Lewin hints at Leeds inclusion vs Nottingham Forest as Thorp Arch photos shared

Dominic Calvert-Lewin may yet be fit enough to feature for Leeds United during their clash with Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The Whites are set to travel to the City Ground in their latest Premier League assignment, in what could prove to be a crucial ‘six-pointer’ at the foot of the table come the end of the season.

Calvert-Lewin is carrying an adductor injury at Leeds, and it is doubtful as to whether he will be fit enough to play any part for his team in the East Midlands this weekend.

Daniel Farke has been coy in relation to the striker’s potential involvement ahead of the game, but he may not be telling the whole story.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin shares training photos at Leeds United

Calvert-Lewin has quickly become a key player for Leeds since his move in the summer, but they had looked set to be without him for the clash with Forest this weekend.

Farke suggested during his press conference on Friday that the former Everton frontman isn’t even back in full training with his teammates just yet.

However, Calvert-Lewin appears to have hinted at a potential involvement this weekend, as he posted four photos of himself doing gym work and training at Thorp Arch on his X account on Friday afternoon.

The 28-year-old shared those photos after Farke’s press conference at Elland Road, and while it is far from conclusive evidence, it certainly suggests that he feels he may be fit enough to take part.

It is possible that his situation may have rapidly changed in the aftermath of the press conference, but there is also a strong possibility that Farke has been playing mind games to try and get inside the head of his opposite number Sean Dyche.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin perfect to exploit Nottingham Forest weakness

Leeds will be desperate to exploit Nottingham Forest’s poor home record of late in the Premier League.

The Reds haven’t won in league action on home turf since the opening day of the season, and their inability to defend set pieces and balls into the box has badly hampered their efforts to improve their home form.

That issue has been prevalent for them under all three of their managers so far this term, and it could hold the key to success for Leeds on Sunday.

With that in mind, Calvert-Lewin’s aerial presence could be a massive factor in how the game plays out, provided that he is fit enough to feature.

The West Yorkshire outfit have some strong headers of the ball already in the likes of Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu, and another aerial threat in Calvert-Lewin may ultimately be too much for Forest to defend.
