Daniel James must start for Leeds United v Norwich City amid current run of form for club and country

Daniel Farke has plenty of tough decisions to make when his Leeds United side return to action following the international break.

First up for the West Yorkshire club is a Championship meeting with Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday (21 October).

The Canaries currently occupy seventh place in the league table, just two points behind their next opponents, who sit in fifth place.

Farke knows that a tough test awaits, with the man in the dugout also aware that some of his players may be tired after their international exploits.

One such player could be Daniel James, who featured in Wales’ two matches against Gibraltar and Croatia.

The winger picked up two assists in the first clash, which his side won 4-0, with James then adding another assist in the 2-1 win in the second game. Making the feats more impressive was the fact he came off the bench in both matches.

As per the official Leeds United Twitter account (16 October), the Wales international now has eight goals/assists in his last nine matches for club and country.

The stunning run of form should ensure that Whites boss Daniel Farke has no option but to start the winger in the upcoming clash with Norwich.

There are plenty of talented wingers at Elland Road in the form of Crysencio Summerville, Jaidon Anthony and Wilfried Gnonto, but none come close to James in terms of form at this moment in time.

Competition for places is fierce under Farke this season, but that is a necessity if the Whites are to have any hope of immediately returning to the Premier League.
