Daniel Farke’s talks with Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola can help Leeds a great deal

Leeds are doing their best in an attempt to stay in the Premier League beyond the 2025-26 season.

After Leeds beat West Ham 2-1, in what could be a crucial three points come the end of the season, the Whites have shot up into 15th in the table.

Gary Lineker is happy to see Leeds doing well in the Premier League, but there are still plenty of games left to play.

It’s no secret that Leeds want to avoid Premier League relegation, as Daniel Farke may have a secret weapon in his friendship with both Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola.

Daniel Farke claims Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola value his opinion

Over his time at LS11, Farke has received his fair share of stick from Leeds fans, but after promotion from the Championship last season, he will want to prove that he can take the Whites far.

The Leeds head coach revealed that he has spoken multiple times by phone with Manchester City boss Guardiola, and also keeps in touch with fellow German coach Klopp – both of whom allegedly “appreciate” him.

Farke said, as quoted by Leeds Live: “I still talk a lot with Pep. The last time he called, and wanted to chat with me about Arsenal before his guys played against Arsenal.

“I don’t have the feeling now, because I talk with Pep or Jurgen Klopp, that I’m a top coach. You can see what I do in our football life.

“Of course, if you have such appreciation from the best in your field, it’s always an acknowledgement. If someone asks you for advice, that’s great because they appreciate your opinion.”

But the relationships may be much more valuable than Leeds fans think.

Farke will most likely pick the brains of Klopp and Guardiola

Farke has suffered Premier League relegation on two occasions with Norwich City in the past.

Now, after getting Leeds promoted, he will want to avoid a third relegation, and so far, Farke is showing that he has adapted.

There’s a clear difference in the way Leeds set up at Elland Road, compared to when the Whites travel to the homes of other Premier League sides.

However, after these latest details, it could be possible that Farke has cherry-picked some of Klopp and Guardiola’s best footballing ideas, in return for sharing his own philosophy with the head coaches in the past.

Leeds look like a team that could stay in the survival battle until the last day of the season, at the very least, and with Farke learning from Klopp and Guardiola, the Whites could produce more tactical masterclasses.
