Daniel Farke’s stubbornness could get Leeds United relegated amid Anton Stach injury news
Daniel Farke has shown an unwillingness to rotate his side over the last 12 months.
After what was a fairly promising start to the campaign, Leeds have picked up just four points from their last five games and dropped to 16th in the Premier League.
The Whites sit just one point above Burnley and six points behind Sunderland, who finished 24 points behind them in the Championship last season.
While there has been an element of misfortune to some of their recent results, Farke seriously needs to take a look in the mirror after the latest update from Elland Road.

Anton Stach has been playing with an injury
Anton Stach has been a star for Leeds this season, and out of those who arrived in the summer, he has been the most impressive by some distance.
So much so, he has displaced Ao Tanaka from the starting 11, despite the incredible campaign the Japan international had in the Championship.
However, in his Wednesday press conference, Farke revealed that Stach had been playing with a broken finger and damage to his ribs in recent weeks, and while it may not have had a huge impact on his performances, it doesn’t shine a good light on Farke.
Leeds have options, not just in midfield, but all over the pitch.
However, it was no different last season, when the German would weirdly refuse to rotate his side, ultiamtely risking burn-out and injuries to his favoruites.
Stach should be starting when fit, but given this update, it begs the question as to why Farke would rather play an injured player over one who is fully fit.

Should that go on, injuries will worsen, and it could be one of the key factors behind Leeds’ relegation at the end of the season.

Ao Tanaka has every right to be frustrated this season
Tanaka was immense in the Championship last season; you will not find anyone who could argue against that.
However, the 27-year-old has played just 189 minutes of football in the Premier League this season, which is only made to look worse by the update on Stach.
Whether something has happened behind the scenes or Farke simply doesn’t fancy Tanaka, something doesn’t add up.
Given the role he played last season, he will have every right to be questioning his future, and now is the time for Farke to showcase why it remains at Elland Road.
