Daniel Farke will be raging as Premier League announcement made for Burnley vs Leeds

Leeds United return to Premier League action on Saturday with a huge trip to Burnley.

Turf Moor will host the two promoted clubs on 18 October, with Daniel Farke hoping to bounce back from Leeds’ 2-1 defeat against Tottenham.

Burnley go into the fixture off the back of a tight loss against Aston Villa and a heavy thrashing at the hands of Manchester City before that.

News from the Premier League has begun to filter through for the match, and Farke will not be happy.

Tim Robinson appointed for Burnley vs Leeds United

The Premier League has confirmed that Tim Robinson will be the man in the middle at Turf Moor.

He will be supported by Richard West and Mark Scholes, while Tim Wood has been confirmed as the Video Assistant Referee.

Robinson is yet to officiate in the Premier League this season via Playerstats, but has taken charge of 39 top-flight fixtures throughout his career.

He has given out 14 yellow cards in three games so far in this campaign, with 66 fouls awarded.

Leeds United not happy with these Tim Robinson decisions

Farke has called out Robinson on several occasions already at Elland Road.

With the Whites pushing for promotion at the first time of asking, Sunderland arrived in West Yorkshire to battle for a 0-0 draw.

Inexplicably, though, Robinson missed Luke O’Nien clearing a corner with his arm after jostling with Joe Rodon, and even that was after Dan Ballard had blocked a shot with his elbow.

Farke said at the time that he expected more apology letters from the EFL, as they went on to lose in the play-off final that year against Southampton.

Robinson has been wronging Leeds from before Farke was even in charge.

Losing 2-1 to Fulham at Craven Cottage in 2019 was the outcome, but the now-Premier League referee somehow decided to hand the home side a penalty.

Ben White was adjudged to have pushed Bobby Decordova-Reid at the time, with contact less than minimal, leaving Marcelo Bielsa baffled.

Hopefully, Robinson isn’t forced into any big decisions, or there could be more controversy around the corner for Farke and Leeds.
