Daniel Farke will be raging after what Brenden Aaronson is doing away from Leeds United
Daniel Farke will not be pleased over Brenden Aaronson as the Leeds United midfielder has stayed with the US national team ahead of the fixture against Sheffield United.
As shared by Marca, Christian Pulisic, Ricardo Pepi, Weston McKennie, Marlon Fossey and Zak Steffen are returning to their respective clubs earlier than expected and will not play in the USA’s next fixture.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team will take on Mexico in a friendly on Wednesday [16 October], which would mean Aaronson will likely return to Leeds on Thursday [17 October].
As a result, Farke will undoubtedly have a headache regarding team selection, with the Whites welcoming Chris Wilder’s team to Elland Road on Friday [18 October].
Therefore, it’s disappointing to see Aaronson stay with the international squad despite Pulisic being allowed to return to Milan for “load management”.
Brenden Aaronson essential for Daniel Farke and Leeds United
Aaronson has been a mainstay in Farke’s team in the 2024/25 season, with the 23-year-old starting the last seven games for Leeds in the Championship.
The midfielder has been instrumental for the Whites playing in the number 10 position, linking up play and finding the back of the net on a couple of occasions.
Leeds will undoubtedly aspire to return to the Premier League soon after missing out on promotion in the previous campaign.

However, nine games into the season, Farke’s team sit fifth in the Championship table and the fixture against Wilder’s team is pivotal, with the Blades sitting second, level on points with table toppers Sunderland.
It will be interesting to see how Leeds will set up against the Blades, with Joel Piroe emerging as one of the most impactful players for the Whites this season.
The Dutch national’s versatility can come in handy and Farke can slot the 25-year-old in the number 10 role in case Aaronson is not deemed fit to start, with Mateo Joseph or Patrick Bamford starting up front.
In other Leeds United news, United States media have not been impressed by what Aaronson has done.
