Daniel Farke ‘will be furious’ after official Leeds United announcement

Leeds United have been at the mercy of TV broadcasters throughout the current campaign.

We are now at the business end of the season, and with eight games still to be played, Leeds remain in the driving seat to achieve promotion back to the Premier League.

Form has been hard to come by as of late, with just one win in their last four, though the current international break will have come at the best time, with the Whites able to recharge and go again for the final run-in.

However, there has been a constant theme this season for Leeds, and it appears to be no different in the near future after the Whites made an announcement in regard to one of their upcoming fixtures.

Oxford v Leeds fixture shifted for Sky Sports coverage

3pm kick-offs have been almost unheard of this season for Leeds, though thanks to Sky Sports, the Whites will have one to look forward to next month, but there’s a twist.

Leeds’ Good Friday encounter with Oxford – which was originally scheduled for 8pm – will now take place at the earlier time of 3pm, as confirmed via an official announcement on the club site (20 March).

The clash will be a Sky Sports featured game, meaning it will likely be broadcast on one of their main channels, though once again, little consideration has been made for travelling supporters.

Leeds need to find form again

With just shy of a month’s notice, plenty of Leeds supporters will have to make new plans, and with often limited train services over the Easter weekend, it could prove to be a challenge.

Daniel Farke has previously gone on record to express his thoughts on the constant shifting of fixtures, saying: “If you’re just thinking about TV and not the supporters who attend the stadium you will one day lose the love of our fanbase. I think this is a quite important topic. This is my first worry.” [YEP].

It’s probably fair to say he’ll be furious after yet another game was moved.

Leeds need to return to form after international break

Fixture changes or not, Leeds have no excuse not to achieve promotion back to the Premier League this season, though they still appear as though they will.

With eight games to go, the Whites just need to return to the form that brought them plenty of success in the earlier stages of the campaign.

If that can be achieved, Leeds can start preparing for life back in the big league.
