Daniel Farke will be fuming as announcement made for Leeds vs Manchester City
Leeds United host Manchester City on Saturday as they look to cause a shift at both ends of the Premier League table.
Right now, Pep Guardiola’s side are desperate to continue winning as they hunt down Arsenal, while Leeds are looking to strengthen their already strong grasp in the relegation battle.
The last time these two sides faced off, Daniel Farke came out of the game feeling quite frustrated, and not only about the last-minute winner by City.
At the time, the German felt the officials should have been able to intervene as the Sky Blues utilised some of the dark arts at the Etihad in the 3-2 defeat.
Now, that same referee is set to take charge of the reverse fixture.

Peter Bankes named as referee for Leeds vs Manchester City
The Premier League have confirmed the officials for Leeds’ upcoming fixture against Manchester City, as Peter Bankes is set to take charge.
Bankes will be joined by Eddie Smart and Blake Antrobus as his linesmen; meanwhile, Paul Howard will oversee from Stockley Park as VAR, with Sian Massey-Ellis assisting.
Leeds have had mixed luck during games with Bankes refereeing. He has taken charge of 25 games involving the Whites, who have a win rate of 40 per cent.
| Result | Total |
| Win | 10 |
| Draw | 4 |
| Loss | 11 |
On average, he hands out two yellow cards per game to Leeds players, with only one red card given.
That was awarded to Kalvin Phillips against QPR back in the 2018-2019 Championship season.
Bankes has already taken charge of this exact fixture, but over at the Etihad, and Farke will be hoping for a change of fortune in LS11.
Daniel Farke was frustrated with Man City tactics earlier in the season
Farke was not pleased with Manchester City earlier in the season due to their time-wasting tactics, and he even approached the officials about it on the day.
However, unfortunately for the German, there was little Bankes could do on the day as Leeds lost 3-2.
As Gianluigi Donnarumma went down injured in the latter moments, Farke believed the goalkeeper was feigning it.
The Italian going down meant he would not have to leave the pitch, unlike any of his other City teammates. The rules state that goalkeepers are immune to that standard.
Farke felt the Manchester City shot-stopper was bending the rules in this instance and will now hope he does not encounter the same on Saturday, 28 February.
Hopefully, Farke can get the last laugh against Donnarumma and Bankes at Elland Road.
