Daniel Farke to watch closely at Leeds after latest update on Gabriel Gudmundsson
Leeds United fans will surely hope players like Gabriel Gudmundsson don’t pick up injuries during the international break.
The 26-year-old has been a key player for the Whites this season, but there have been slight concerns about his fitness in recent matches.
On 13 November, Gudmundsson missed training with Sweden due to a concussion, which must certainly have been concerning for the German manager in LS11.
While several Leeds players have left Elland Road during the international break, the 49-year-old head coach will certainly be keeping a close eye on his left-back.

Leeds United defender Gabriel Gudmundsson back training with Sweden
Gudmundsson seems to have recovered from his knock as he’s been spotted back in Sweden training, according to Fotbollskanalen.
The news outlet reports on 14 November that after missing from the group 24 hours earlier, the defender has returned to work with his teammates.
Gudmundsson has struggled in recent matches for Farke, with the Swedish star particularly horrendous in the 3-0 defeat away at Brighton on 1 November.
While the German manager has a quality option on the bench in James Justin, who can play at left-back, Gudmundsson is his preferred option.
Recently, against West Ham United on 24 October at Elland Road, the former LOSC Lille star was forced off just before half-time after a fitness issue in the 2-1 win, and while he has started back-to-back games since then, fans in LS11 will be worried about him.
As for Farke, he will surely have mixed feelings about the defender returning to training soon after being diagnosed with a concussion, and his situation will undoubtedly be one to keep an eye on.
Gabriel Gudmundsson 2026 World Cup qualification hope assessed with Sweden
Sweden had been woeful under Jon Dahl Tomasson during the World Cup qualifiers, leading to his sacking.

| Competition | Matches played | Position | Points |
| World Cup qualifiers | 4 | 4 | 1 |
| UEFA Nations League | 1 | 6 | 16 |
While the prospect of qualifying for the prestigious tournament in Canada, Mexico and the USA directly is out of the question for the former West Ham manager, Blagult may still be able to qualify after finishing top in the recent UEFA Nations League group stages.
The 12 runners-up from the World Cup qualifiers groups will be joined by the four best-ranked group winners of the 2024-25 UEFA Nations League in the March play-offs, making wins over Switzerland and Slovenia essential for Sweden as they have secured just one point in four matches so far.
