Daniel Farke to unleash Joel Piroe for Leeds to destroy Swansea

Daniel Farke will have to turn to Joel Piroe for Leeds United to overcome Swansea City this afternoon.

The forward has only been selected to start seven of Leeds’ 15 Championship games so far this season but nevertheless has shown the impact he can have on the side having netted six goals.

After coming on as a substitute against QPR before the international break and scoring a 95th minute goal to give his side a 2-0 win, Farke will be hoping he can produce some magic again against his former side.

Piroe goal for Leeds written in the stars

The striker made a name for himself in Wales scoring 22 goals in his most prolific season but since his arrival at Elland Road, he has scored against his former side both times they have met so far.

Following his goal against QPR, he will no doubt be eager to add to this and if history is anything to go by, netting against Swansea could give him just the opportunity to do so.

Although 21-year-old Mateo Joseph has impressed so far this season, he is also without a goal in five games meaning it could be time for a change.

In addition, the youngster was away on international duty and played twice for Spain Under-21s over the last week which could give his teammate the benefit of freshness.

Although Joseph did score for his country on Tuesday, with three games for Farke’s side between now and Saturday, the boss needs to utilise his squad to ensure they can get the points they want on the board.
