Daniel Farke to sit up and take notice as Leeds loanee Largie Ramazani wins LaLiga award

Largie Ramazani is beginning to find form away from Leeds United at Valencia.

The 24-year-old joined the Spanish outfit on a season-long loan last summer, and initially struggled as Carlos Corberan’s side have continued to languish at the wrong end of the table.

Valencia sit 16th in the Spanish top flight, two points clear of the bottom three, though Ramazani has begun to find his feet at the Mestalla, with two goals in as many games.

The Belgian scored six times and registered two assists as Leeds ascended from the Championship last term, though his role from the bench limited him to just 783 second tier minutes.

Leeds find themselves 15th in the Premier League and on track for survival. Though Daniel Farke will be taking notice of Ramazani, who was deemed not part of the plans at Elland Road last summer.

Largie Ramazani steals headlines with stunning goal

Scoring in both of Valencia’s recent derby clashes with Levante and Villarreal, the Belgian has well and truly found his feet at the club after previously netting 22 times and registering seven assists for Almeria prior to his Leeds move in 2024.

It would be his goal against city rivals Levante that took the crown, though, with his sensational strike recently being voted as LaLiga’s Goal of the Month.

Playing out two derbies in the space of a week, Valencia would lose 2-1 against Villarreal at the Ceramica last time out, though Ramazani would open the scoring from the spot in the 27th minute to continue his impressive form.

It would take until the recent win against Levante for Ramazani to get his first league start for Los Che, but he is beginning to showcase to Corberan as to why he should be a regular, while showing Farke at home exactly what he has been missing.

Largie Ramazani could still have a future at Leeds

With Leeds on track to secure Premier League survival, this summer could be a big one when it comes to the Whites’ long term future.

Following promotion in 2020, Leeds were caught out with a lack of succession planning following the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa, before they were relegated at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

The next step is to keep on building a side that can compete further up the standings, and as of now, there is nothing saying that Ramazani couldn’t be a part of that.

At 24, there are still years of growth in Ramazani, and the fact he was never given the chance to showcase his talents in the Premier League leaves his overall level relatively unknown.

Upon his return to West Yorkshire this summer, there could still be a future for the Belgian. While he may not immediately be one of the first names on the teamsheet, his time back in Spain has showcased his persistence.

When called upon regularly in recent weeks, Ramazani has been more than reliable, and looks to be the man leading the Valencia survival charge as of late.

As Leeds look to continue settling into the Premier League, it would make complete sense for the wideman to be tested heading into next season.
