Daniel Farke ‘set for Emi Buendia reunion’ after what has happened at Leverkusen
Leeds United have a huge summer ahead of them, and the signing of Emi Buendia would be an excellent start.
Despite there still being two games left to be played, Leeds will have already turned a lot of their attention towards the summer transfer window to be as prepared as they possibly can be for Premier League football.
With the gulf in quality between the two divisions increasing every season, Leeds have no margin for error when it comes to recruitment, and plans will already be in place.
With that in mind, Daniel Farke may be able to use his past relationships to bring one player to Elland Road after a decision was made elsewhere.

Leeds must revisit Buendia deal after Leverkusen decision
Buendia will be a name that many fans are aware of, given the fact that he was constantly linked with a move to Leeds in the winter transfer window.
However, any move failed to materialise, and the Villa winger instead made the move to Leverkusen on loan, but a return to the Premier League seems likely.
Leverkusen | Games (starts) | Goals | Assists |
Buendia | 11 (1) | 1 | 0 |
According to Get Football News Germany (10 April), the Bundesliga outfit are unlikely to activate their right to buy Buendia, who is just as unlikely to have any future at Villa Park.
That, added with the fact that Leeds have now sealed promotion, could provide Farke with an excellent opportunity to bring him to Elland Road, and it would be an excellent addition to their hopes of surviving.

Buendia arrival would be one of many for the Whites
If Leeds are to have any hopes of avoiding an immediate relegation, they need to recruit players who have excelled in the Premier League, and Buendia is one of them.
As good a season as it has been for Farke’s men, there are several players in this squad who are not at the required level for Premier League football, and that will need to be addressed.
This summer will be a huge one for Leeds as they look to cement their status as a Premier League club for the future.
