Daniel Farke sack threat intensifies at Leeds United after Enzo Maresca reveal at Chelsea

Daniel Farke can’t catch a break at Leeds United right now.

The Leeds sack is looming for Farke as supporters grow increasingly frustrated by recent results and performances at Elland Road.

Having taken the lead last time around, Leeds fell to a 3-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest, summing up their form from the past five or six games.

There are fears that Leeds could sack Farke in the coming weeks, as a difficult fixture schedule lies ahead for the Whites.

Farke will be hoping for a slice of luck moving forward, but based on what Enzo Maresca has said, that doesn’t look like coming any time soon.

Enzo Maresca reveals Cole Palmer injury update

Leeds are set to face Aston Villa on Sunday as they prepare to host Unai Emery’s side in their first outing after the international break.

The Villans will represent a stern test, as they are one of the best-form sides in the Premier League over recent months.

It says a lot for the LS11 club that this clash may prove to be their easiest of their next four fixtures, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool also coming up.

If the Whites are to take anything from these games, they will be hopeful of something going in their favour.

Things have gone the other way for Farke, with Maresca revealing that Cole Palmer should be fit in time to face Leeds on 3 December.

He said: “He is probably not available for Saturday for sure, Barcelona for sure or Arsenal for sure.”

The Blues play those two sides in the week before their trip to Elland Road, so Palmer could be hitting a run of minutes just in time to face the Yorkshire outfit.

Palmer could get Daniel Farke sacked at Leeds United

There is no doubt that the Whites would rather face a Chelsea side without Palmer than with him.

The England international is one of the best players in the division on his day, as showcased by his performances at the Club World Cup.

Having the attacking midfielder return and be ready to face Leeds could prove to be a damaging blow that Farke really doesn’t need.

Should Palmer return and have a telling impact on a potentially huge win for Chelsea, it could prove to be the final nail in the coffin for the German in LS11.
