Daniel Farke now knows exactly what Leeds fans think of him after what happened in Elland Road stands
Leeds fans were far from happy with Daniel Farke during his post-match lap of appreciation at Elland Road on Sunday.
Aston Villa beat Leeds 2-1, which has only added more woe to the Whites’ hopes of staying in the Premier League.
Brenden Aaronson came under fire for his performance, while Lukas Nmecha’s third of the season wasn’t enough to cancel out Morgan Rogers’ brace.
Farke is now under immense pressure at Leeds, with the 49ers having to decide whether or not they will continue to back the German head coach.
Tensions have boiled over at LS11, and Leeds fans seem to have finally had enough of Farke.
Leeds fans chanted ‘you don’t know what you’re doing’ at Daniel Farke
Farke will probably feel a little bit let down by his players after failing to convert some big chances, which could have painted a prettier picture.
However, there’s no hiding away from the fact that tactical decisions and lineup selections have been a worry for the whole season, not just the Villa game.
- Leeds had 48% possession against Aston Villa
- The Whites created three big chances to Villa’s one
- Leeds only managed 0.60 xG from open play
During the usual lap of Elland Road when the squad and Farke give their thanks to the Leeds faithful, the Whites supporters were having none of it.
While some clapped in the West Stand, noise from The Kop had a mix of applause, boos, and chants for Farke.
Journalist Graham Smyth shared on X that a portion of Leeds fans were even chanting ‘you don’t know what you’re doing’ at the German head coach.
With the way things are going at the moment, this may just be the start of the end for Farke’s relationship with Leeds fans
Elland Road may soon turn toxic
The Whites have an unforgiving run of matches coming up, and Farke desperately needed a boost of positivity against the Villans.
This wasn’t to be the case, clearly, and supporters who are turning against Farke are growing in numbers by the week.
| Game | Date |
| Leeds vs Chelsea | 3 December |
| Leeds vs Liverpool | 6 December |
| Leeds vs Crystal Palace | 20 December |
The Whites have both difficult fixtures, home and away, and it’s likely that with each passing game, Elland Road’s atmosphere will turn toxic.
It’s a shame – it looks inevitable at this rate. But Leeds have been here before.
The feel-good factor will return in the future.
