Daniel Farke may get Marti Cifuentes sacked after Leeds United showdown v QPR
Leeds United and Daniel Farke could get Marti Cifuentes sacked at QPR if the latest reports from France are to be believed.
L’Equipe reported via their website on Tuesday (12 November) that the Rangers are considering Gregory Vignal to replace Cifuentes as the team languish in bottom place in the Championship.
Vignal was in attendance as QPR held Sunderland to a 0-0 draw at Loftus Road on 2 November and held talks with a board member.

QPR fell to the bottom of the table after they lost 2-0 to the Whites and fellow relegation-battlers Portsmouth beat Preston 3-1 on Saturday (9 November).
This could be the final nail in Cifuentes’s coffin at QPR as the club consider sacking him just over a year after signing him from Hammarby.
Should that be the case, the Spanish tactician will be the second manager Farke and Leeds United have gotten sacked this year.
Wayne Rooney was notably shown the door at Birmingham the day after his side succumbed to a 3-0 defeat against the Whites at Elland Road on 1 January.

Vignal, meanwhile, would be an interesting choice for QPR if they decide to hire him as the Frenchman does not have a significant amount of managerial experience.
The former Liverpool player served as the head coach of the French third-division club Versailles for four months between November 2023 and February 2024 and has since been without a team.
In other Leeds United news, Farke will be buzzing as the Whites look to avoid “havoc” after international break.
