Daniel Farke has Premier League survival formula as Leeds United stat emerges

Leeds United are six points clear of the Premier League relegation zone after beating West Ham United on Friday.

Elland Road welcomed Nuno Espirito Santo’s team on 24 October, with Brenden Aaronson and Joe Rodon giving the Whites an early two-goal advantage.

Mateus Fernandes tried to inspire a comeback for the visitors with his goal in the 90th minute, but the West Yorkshire outfit managed to hold them out for a crucial three points.

Daniel Farke has taken another important step toward Premier League survival, with Opta’s supercomputer predicting they will finish 16th in the table.

Leeds United create chances with press in final third

Leeds have had 10 shots resulting from their tackles, blocks and interceptions in the final third, as per The i Paper.

The news outlet shared on 27 October that no other team in the Premier League had managed to create more chances with such actions prior to games kicking off on 26 October.

It’s the relentless pressing and intensity from the Whites that could potentially be a formula for avoiding an immediate drop to the Championship.

While the West Yorkshire outfit arguably can’t dominate games in the English top flight as they did last season, they haven’t let their work rate drop.

Wolves seem to be in a crisis, failing to win any of their nine league matches this season, West Ham have failed to turn the tide despite replacing Graham Potter with Nuno, and Sean Dyche lost his first Premier League game in charge as Nottingham Forest boss against Bournemouth.

The bottom three in the table are going through a rough patch at the moment, and it’s now up to the Peacocks to take advantage of it.

Daniel Farke has mighty challenge coming up in Premier League

Leeds made an impressive addition in Sean Longstaff to their team in the summer, with the former Newcastle United midfielder bringing a wealth of experience to LS11.

While the Whites will be flying high right now, a tough period is on the horizon for Farke as they face Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool on the bounce towards the end of November and start of December.

Over the festive period, the West Yorkshire outfit’s results will give a better sense of whether they can avoid relegation this season.

Gabriel Gudmundsson’s injury at Elland Road was a bitter blow, but the German manager has a squad willing to fight for him, and it remains to be seen whether they can get the job done in the current campaign.
