Daniel Farke has perfect Noah Okafor understudy at Leeds United already in Thorp Arch latest

Connor Douglas is emerging as one of Leeds’ brightest talents at Thorp Arch.

Leeds are in a relegation battle and will face financial constraints in the upcoming January transfer window, which will only harm the Whites’ chances of survival.

Noah Okafor has been a shining light for Leeds after an arguably insufficient summer spending spree by the 49ers Enterprises.

The Swiss international can be Leeds’ saviour this campaign; however, Farke has already taken the first steps in making a clone of the attacker with Douglas.

Daniel Farke calls Connor Douglas up to first-team training

Douglas is highly rated at Leeds and has been impressing from left wing for the Whites’ under-21s side.

In preparation for Leeds’ game against Aston Villa on Sunday, Farke has made some big calls at Thorp Arch, one of which includes Douglas.

Connor Douglas for Leeds’ U21s in the Premier League 2, Division 1:

LUFC Youth on X shared news that Farke promoted Douglas to first-team training ahead of the Whites’ game against the Villans at Elland Road on 23 November.

The 20-year-old signed his first professional contract with Leeds in July 2024.

Douglas’ current contract runs until June 2026, and Farke may soon give the starlet the chance he deserves, possibly in the FA Cup.

Now, Farke has one job left to do with Douglas in training.

Farke needs to make Douglas shadow Noak Okafor in training

Douglas is said to be a tricky winger with powerful running ability, very similar to what Okafor has displayed so far this season.

It seems like Leeds have lacked a touch of fearlessness in the final third at times this campaign, and Douglas could be the perfect maverick to combat concerns with cameos.

Farke should sit Douglas down and tell the youngster to take notes from Okafor’s movement and tendencies in training.

If the head coach can do this, Leeds may have a genuine extra option from the bench in their crucial Premier League matches, albeit not expected right now.
