Daniel Farke gets Premier League survival boost in new Leeds United injury reveal

Leeds United are in an excellent position to survive Premier League relegation, with the emergence of a new stat among their competitors further boosting their chances.

The Whites are sitting six points above the drop zone, and their recent 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, while disappointing to concede late, was yet another good result for Daniel Farke in the end.

Nottingham Forest’s loss to Liverpool, West Ham’s draw with Bournemouth, and Tottenham’s loss to Arsenal meant Leeds ended up gaining ground on most of those behind them.

Although the LS11 outfit’s chances of survival are currently looking good, supporters will not get ahead of themselves until that outcome has been confirmed.

Now, the possibility of that coming sooner rather than later has been boosted due to developments both at Elland Road and elsewhere in the Premier League.

What has boosted Leeds’ survival chances?

Leeds have found themselves at the bottom of the table in one stat, but this time, it is one that will be entirely welcomed.

The Peacocks are at the bottom of the injury table, with Noah Okafor as their sole absentee.

Even then, the Swiss forward is not suspected to be out too long, with a return date anticipated in mid-March.

Farke will be absolutely delighted about the situation he currently has at Elland Road, as he can now attack the rest of the season with pretty much a fully fit squad as it stands.

It is certainly a big boost for the LS11 side, who will have plenty of options at their disposal to try and bring in results.

Elsewhere, Leeds’ relegation rivals have quite a few more issues within their squad.

Leeds’ squad health means FA Cup run is a possibility

With Leeds having a near-fully fit squad, it means they do not have to prioritise survival over the FA Cup.

In fact, Farke can now utilise his fringe players in the cup to try and push the Whites further into the competition.

The draw has been kind as well, with Farke set to face his former employers, Norwich City, in the fifth round.

The game is set to be played at Elland Road, and you would expect the Peacocks to progress in that fixture. Norwich are currently sitting in 18th place in the Championship.

Leeds supporters may be able to start dreaming.
