Daniel Farke faces sack at Leeds United amid worrying Premier League reveal

Daniel Farke isn’t cut out for Premier League management.

Leeds haven’t had a bad start to the season, but with 11 points after 10 games, and sitting just two places above the drop zone, things could be so much better.

Attacking concerns have been the main talking point at Elland Road, with the Whites having only scored nine goals so far this season, with three of those coming in one game.

While Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s struggles in front of goal are a big part of that, the latest reveal showcases that the issue is much deeper than that.

Daniel Farke among Premier League worst for attacking record

Firstly, Farke‘s decision to keep starting Calvert-Lewin is the first worry, but the Germans’ inability to get a side on the front foot goes back much further than just this season.

Via BBC Sport, Farke has seen his team fail to score in 32 games out of 59 throughout spells at Norwich and Leeds, which is the worst ratio of any manager in Premier League history to have managed over 50 games.

Not only that, but Farke’s general record in Premier League management is also woeful, and with the Whites still lingering above the drop zone, that will soon catch up to them.

Jurgen Klopp isn’t going to be a candidate for Leeds if Farke were to be sacked, but there are countless managers out there who could take this team to the next level.

However, whether Farke remains or whether someone else takes the reins, it is clear that Leeds needs investment in January, or else they will go down.

Signing a striker has to be a priority for Leeds

Leeds are going nowhere other than the Championship if they stick with Calvert-Lewin this season.

As a result, signing a new number nine is going to be crucial to their chances of survival, and they may look to revisit some of their failed summer moves.

Ermedin Demirovic was linked with Leeds in the summer, and he could be one of their previous targets that they take another look at in January.

So far this season, Demirovic has six goal contributions in 10 appearances for Stuttgart, having scored 17 last season.
