Daniel Farke experiment finally pays off after what Leeds United star did vs Bournemouth
Daniel Farke has had his favourites throughout his time at Leeds United.
Leeds secured a point at home to Bournemouth on Saturday, and while it was a good one, it could have been so much more once again for the Whites.
For the second time in just three games, the Whites conceded a stoppage-time goal, this time at the hands of Junior Kroupi.
However, while there will be some disappointment with the nature of the two dropped points, there will be some optimism after one of Farke’s experiments finally paid off.

Brenden Aaronson actually played well for Leeds vs Bournemouth
Brenden Aaronson isn’t the most popular figure at Leeds United, though a lot of that is down to the way he left the club on loan after their relegation from the Premier League.
However, his performances over the last 12 months have done little to get the fans back on his side, and yet Farke has insisted on picking him.
Farke has deployed Aaronson on the right-wing in the last few games in the absence of Dan James and Willy Gnonto, and Saturday’s clash with the Cherries was the first time it actually paid off.
Aaronson’s stats vs Bournemouth
- 1 chance created
- 76% pass accuracy
- 8 duels won
- 5 touches in opposition box
The USMNT internationally was unfortunate not to get at least one assist after laying the ball on a plate for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, though he worked just as hard off the ball.
Aaronson looked dangerous at times in front of the goal, and his performance at Elland Road could warrant his inclusion in the next game, though Farke will have a call to make.

Should Brenden Aaronson start over Dan James?
Dan James has struggled for Leeds this season, just as he has every time he has featured in the Premier League over the last few years.
Should it come down to those two, then Aaronson should get the nod next time out over the Welshman, though the real call will arrive when Willy Gnonto’s availability is made clear.
The Italian missed out against the Cherries, but if he is fit to play against Tottenham at the weekend, then he is more than deserving of a starting role in the team.
With that said, for the first time in a while, Aaronson’s inclusion would also be justified.
