Daniel Farke could get Arne Slot sacked as Richard Keys reveals another Liverpool bombshell after Mo Salah

Leeds United and Liverpool may have just played the most dramatic match of the entire Premier League season, both on and off the pitch.

Leeds somehow rescued a 3-3 draw on Saturday at Elland Road, fighting back from two goals down and again in added time to send West Yorkshire wild.

The drama didn’t stop there either, with Mohamed Salah basically admitting he wanted to leave the Reds minutes after the final whistle in LS11.

Daniel Farke was under immense sack pressure going into this week, but it was Arne Slot who left Elland Road looking most likely for the exit.

Daniel Farke may be safe, Arne Slot certainly isn’t

Farke has almost enjoyed the perfect week at Leeds, with that last-minute Phil Foden goal the only negative in what was classed as many as the seven days that would see him sacked.

Following that up with Leeds’ 3-1 win over Chelsea and draw against Liverpool, the German should be very safe going into Christmas.

The same can’t be said for Slot.

Despite Leeds hating playing against Salah, the Egyptian was left on the bench yet again, and that could very much lead to a new manager search beginning at Anfield.

Richard Keys has made that point after the 3-3 draw, backing Steven Gerrard to replace Slot, with another senior Liverpool star not happy with their manager.

“It was only a matter of time before Salah opened up,” Keys wrote.

“He has no relationship with Slot.

And there’s another very senior member of the squad who feels the same way. Very senior.

“I told you a week or so back – come in, Stevie G.”

Where do Leeds and Liverpool currently sit in Premier League?

Leeds moved back up to 16th after their impressive draw, stepping over Nottingham Forest once more.

Liverpool, who are defending their Premier League title, remain eighth, 10 points behind Arsenal.

Ironically, Gerrard was linked with the Leeds job a couple of weeks ago, when Farke was preparing for this horror run, but he has emerged unscathed.

That could open the door for a magical return to Anfield instead, something that those at Elland Road would likely prefer given his managerial record.

Farke went into this week fearing the worst, but he has come out of it stronger than ever.

The same cannot be said for Slot and Liverpool.
