Daniel Farke could cost Leeds United promotion over decision taken
Daniel Farke has showed an unwillingness to rotate his Leeds United squad in the past couple of games and it could prove costly in their bid to achieve promotion.
The Whites still occupy the summit of the Championship so it is hard to navigate through many real negatives although, aside from the performances of Illan Meslier, Farke is producing one of his own.
A distinct lack of rotation has been on show from the German with the likes of Willy Gnonto and Largie Ramazani only playing 21 minutes of football between them in the last two games, the latter contributing nothing towards that.
Add in Mateo Joseph, who has played just 22 minutes in comparison to Joel Piroe with 158.
Leeds have a remarkable level of squad depth for the Championship and failure to utilise that will only hamper their chances of achieving a Premier League return.
Willy Gnonto needs to feature more for Leeds United
Given how tightly contested the top of the Championship is, with just three points separating the top four, it begs the question as to why Gnonto has been limited to just 51 minutes in the last five encounters.
With nine goal contributions this season, he has been one the most influential players at Elland Road and his ability has been at the forefront of a promotion charge and yet he now finds himself on the bench repetitively.
Whether something has gone on behind the scenes can only be pure speculation, but what other reason could Farke have to not utilise one of the best forwards in the division?

Farke comes under a lot of scrutiny himself and most of it certainly seems justified given the squad he has at his disposal and some of the decisions he makes on a game-to-game basis.
He needs to learn from his mistakes and, while dropping Meslier is certainly one of them, utilising his squad and managing their minutes better is certainly another.
