Daniel Farke can secure Leeds United future with 24-year first vs Brentford

Leeds United are back on their travels to face Brentford this weekend.

Daniel Farke’s future at Leeds looks safe for now after two solid results on the spin in the Premier League.

The Whites secured a point in a dramatic 3-3 draw with Liverpool last time out, just days after a historic 3-1 victory over Chelsea at Elland Road.

Leeds face Brentford away from home this Sunday, and if Frake can get his side to do something for the first time since 2001, his future as manager will be cemented.

Leeds have finally found their scoring form

Not only has Dominic Calvert-Lewin found some form with Leeds, but the Whites have started to convert their chances in front of goal.

Farke’s men have scored eight goals in their last three games, all of which have come against sides predicted to finish inside the top four this season.

Having scored three against Chelsea and against Liverpool, Leeds will be looking to repeat that trick against Brentford, and if they do, it will be the first time since 2001 that they have scored three or more goals in three games in a row.

In that period, Leeds beat Everton and Bolton, but suffered a 4-3 defeat at home to Newcastle, with Ian Harte one of three players on the score sheet for the Whites.

If Leeds score three again on Sunday, there’s a good chance that they will come away with all three points, and concerns over Farke’s future will be subdued.

Leeds have Sunday hoodoo to overcome vs Brentford

Several of Leeds’ games this season have been selected for live coverage, and Sunday’s clash against Brentford is no different.

However, the Whites have lost their last six Premier League encounters that have fallen on a Sunday, two of which have been this season.

In that period, they have conceded 24 goals, and a defeat against Brentford would see them become the first Premier League team in history to lose nine Sunday games in a row.

However, given their recent run of form, Farke will be more than confident of avoiding that.
