Daniel Farke admission proves Leeds United remain unclear on their January transfer strategy
Daniel Farke has revealed that Leeds’ transfer plans will only be based on what happens in the next four weeks.
Leeds are in an uphill battle to stay in the Premier League, and January should be seen as one of the most important months in their recent history.
Controversy surrounded Leeds’ summer transfer window, with many judging it to be poor, and the Whites now find themselves struggling at the wrong end of the table.
The 49ers may sack Farke soon, but it’s clear that their hesitation is harming Leeds’ plans heading into January, following the German’s latest comments.
Leeds yet to identify January targets based on Daniel Farke’s words
The Whites need to face the reality that their squad is currently not good enough to stay in the Premier League.
On top of this, Leeds will be facing PSR constraints in the window and will most likely have to sell before buying, making relegation seem inevitable at this point.

Leeds face Chelsea next at Elland Road, and ahead of the match, the German head coach has been talking to the press to reveal his frightening stance on the Whites’ strategy heading into January.
Farke said, as quoted by Beren Cross on X: “Still a while to January. Next four weeks will shape that.
“We wanted to do more in the offence in the summer, and then we lost a key player too.”
Farke was alluding to Dan James’ recent injury blow, which is another situation that only adds to the confusion as to why the 49ers don’t already have multiple signings lined up.
Are the 49ers even trying to help Leeds?
January will be difficult, but that’s where Paraag Marathe and Co. are supposed to be finding the solutions.
They have not only themselves, but the people they employ, to navigate through difficult situations like what Leeds currently face, but it’s clear that no plan has been made.
With how things are looking, the Whites aren’t going to be given a fighting chance in January with new signings, and anyone who does come to LS11 will just seem like a panic buy.
James’ injury shows the need for a transfer strategy for all scenarios, not just basic team upgrades, which appear to have been neglected if Farke’s words are anything to go by.
