Brenden Aaronson surely done at Leeds United after Harry Wilson transfer update
Brenden Aaronson could be on his way out of Leeds United in January.
Leeds fans have been on Aaronson’s back this season after what has been a largely frustrating campaign for the USA international.
Aaronson has even struggled for America, despite Mauricio Pochettino’s side facing a recent upturn in form after going five unbeaten since September.
Daniel Farke continues to utilise the attacking midfielder, leaving many to suggest Aaronson has been lucky to feature regularly for Leeds.
Plans have now emerged ahead of the January window regarding summer target Harry Wilson, which could spell bad news for Aaronson in LS11.

Brenden Aaronson doesn’t fit in at Leeds United
Leeds failed in an effort to sign Wilson from Fulham in the most recent window, but could have returned for him once the window market opens.
The Welshman would add ideal versatility and depth to attacking areas in West Yorkshire, something which Farke was desperate for.
A deal fell through, leaving the German in a position to get the best out of Aaronson and Jack Harrison.
That has changed in recent weeks, with the Whites utilising a 3-5-2 formation featuring two wing-backs, three central midfielders and two centre-forwards.
There is no room for number 10s or wingers, meaning that a move for Wilson is likely off the table moving into the January window.
Leeds Live have suggested that the change in tactical approach has led to a new emphasis on potentially signing midfielders, wing-backs and strikers once the winter transfer market opens.
That is unlikely to spell good news for Aaronson, who falls into a similar mould as the Wales international.
Aaronson surely in same boat as Harry Wilson for Leeds
If Leeds don’t want Wilson because he no longer fits their plans, then that isn’t going to be news to Aaronson’s ears.
The 25-year-old has already faced scrutiny for his lack of physicality and output in the Premier League, contributing to just three goals in 14 appearances.
He fits into a similar bracket as the Fulham man, although at least he is maintaining a positive performance level at Craven Cottage.
Farke could look to fund a winter spend for new wing-back or attacking options by moving on Aaronson in a new approach at Elland Road.
