Brenden Aaronson has every right to rage after ‘prominent’ transfer news at Leeds

Brighton & Hove Albion attacker Facundo Buonanotte touched down in West Yorkshire on Thursday.

The Argentina international signed for Leeds on loan on 15 January, swapping Chelsea for a move to LS11 until the end of the season.

Buonanotte pushed for a move to Elland Road, with the attacking midfielder struggling for minutes while on loan at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues and the Seagulls agreed that it would be best for the player’s development, with a deal already confirmed.

Facundo Buonanotte to replace Brenden Aaronson in Leeds United starting lineup

Buonanotte will arguably be competing with Brenden Aaronson for game time at Leeds.

According to BBC Sport, the Argentine youngster is likely to be offered a much more prominent role at Elland Road than he had at Chelsea, which may not bode well for the USA international.

Aaronson has been in inspired form under Farke recently, scoring two goals playing alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin up front against Newcastle United in the 4-3 defeat at St James’ Park.

The 25-year-old American has slowly made a place for himself in the starting lineup, but his prospects surely look under threat now.

Buonanotte could potentially play up top as part of the two strikers, and if he immediately replaces Aaronson, the former Red Bull Salzburg star’s annoyance and rage will be justified after his recent heroics.

The USMNT star arguably has every right to demand confidence from the German manager after what he’s done recently.

Daniel Farke next target already identified after Facundo Buonanotte deal

Farke wanted a forward at Elland Road, and Buonanotte may be part of his attacking plans at the West Yorkshire outfit.

Apart from reinforcements in the forward line, the German manager is also looking to bolster his defence.

Joe Rodon and Sebastiaan Bornauw have recently picked up injuries, while Pascal Struijk has had his fitness issues in recent months, making it sensible to add more depth at the back.

A new centre-back may be the next target at Elland Road, with Buonanotte now on board ahead of the showdown with Fulham on Saturday.
