Bayern Munich give second-hand car to Alex Nubel as multi-million Leeds United transfer boost emerges
Leeds United have been handed a boost in their goalkeeper pursuit this summer, with a positive update emerging in their pursuit of Bayern Munich ace Alex Nubel.
The Whites have made an enquiry about the 26-year-old, who is set to leave the Bundesliga outfit immediately, as per the Daily Mail (14 July).
The publication added that the Whites face competition for his services from Stuttgart, with the Championship thought to be offering around €8million (£6.8million) to bring him to Elland Road.

His future is clearly up in the air, but a new development in Germany suggests that it definitely doesn’t lie at Bayern Munich.
According to Bild (14 July), Nubel is “looking for a new club with a regular place in goal,” with the publication adding: “A sign that Nubel won’t be staying with Bayern for much longer: the goalkeeper didn’t get his own car for the return, but rolled in in Lucas Hernandez’s black RS e-tron GT.”
Nubel clearly isn’t wanted at the Allianz Arena, with the goalkeeper receiving a kick in the teeth after being handed Hernandez’s “company car” upon the defender’s move to PSG.
The 26-year-old has made just four Bayern Munich appearances since joining the club from German rivals Schalke in 2020, with Nubel spending the last two seasons in Ligue 1 at Monaco.

He has been a key player at his temporary club, but a fresh, and more importantly permanent start could arrive at Elland Road next season.
Leeds have the likes of Illan Meslier and Joel Robles among their ranks, but the former could potentially leave the club in the coming weeks, with the latter invited to take part in pre-season despite not being offered a new deal [The Athletic, 12 June].
In other Leeds United news, £10million exit news has emerged for one Premier League player wanted by the Whites.
