Anton Stach is being wasted as Leeds emerge as Premier League anomaly
Anton Stach has been the pick of the bunch when it comes to summer arrivals at Elland Road.
Leeds are a strange, strange club at the moment.
Despite having picked up four points from four games, the overwhelming feeling among the Whites is still one of raging negativity, and a lot of it once again stems back to the summer window.
Questions have remained present over the way Daniel Farke‘s side went about their business, and despite Stach impressing at Leeds, each passing game is exposing just how wasted he truly is at Elland Road.

Leeds have an artist without a canvas
Stach has created the second most chances in the Premier League this season, with Bruno Fernandes still the only player to have created more than him.
Out of the newly promoted sides, Leeds are the only one to have a player featured in the top 20 for that area of the game.
The German has created 11 chances, and yet not a single one of them has ended with a Leeds goal, with Lukas Nmecha’s penalty against Everton still the only time the Whites have found the back of the net.
- 11 chances created
- 81.8% aerial duels won
- 116 passes completed
- 360 minutes played
His displays may have dropped slightly, but Stach has still shone the most out of the new summer arrivals, but his influence is amounting to nothing as a result of the lack of attacking quality at Elland Road.
Having someone to pull the strings and run games is excellent, but if there is no one to finish the move, his influence largely becomes redundant.
Given the 49ers’ inability to back Farke in the latter stages of the window, he needs to find a way to get a tune out of his attacking options, though, at this stage, it remains to be seen whether that can be achieved.

How can Leeds fix goalscoring problems?
The most obvious way is to recruit some forwards in January.
However, given the nature of the league and how fast things can change, it could prove to be too late by then.
Farke needs to play his best players at Leeds and refrain from silly experiments like playing Brenden Aaronson on the wing.
With all of the concerns lingering around the place, Leeds need to win their next game, and given it is against bottom-placed Wolves, they should have every chance.
