Angus Kinnear to deliver ‘sensational’ Leeds parting gift for Daniel Farke

Angus Kinnear could be set to hand a gift to Daniel Farke in the summer transfer window.

The Leeds chief executive officer is leaving Elland Road to join Everton at the end of the season after the Whites secured promotion.

The 47-year-old joins the fellow Premier League outfit to lead their new sporting structure behind the scenes but he may have sorted a new deal for the Yorkshire club before his exit.

Leeds may seal deal for Everton star Beto

Farke’s side are set to spend big in the transfer market to help their survival goals in the top-flight next season.

A report from Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett (7 May) claims that the Whites are interested in a move for Everton star Beto as part of their £100million transfer kitty.

It states that it is unclear whether the Blues would allow the 27-year-old to leave as he is their top goalscorer with seven strikes in the league in this campaign.

Former Toffees defender Michael Ball fawned over the attacker after a run of five goals in five matches a few months back [Liverpool Echo], he said: “His job is to put the ball in the back of the net and that’s what he’s doing. His finishing and composure in front of goal over the last few games has been sensational.”

Kinnear surely helping Leeds seal Beto transfer

Given the Englishman’s association with the Yorkshiremen, it would not be a surprise if he was helping them secure a deal.

If he could get a significant fee, while also securing a proven elite level attacker for his former club, it would be a win-win for both parties.

It should also help the ex-Leeds man to achieve praise from his new bosses, the Friedkin Group, who have recently taken over on the blue half of Merseyside.

The deal would be a solid one for the newly-promoted side, the Guinea-Bissau forward has been a reliable option for the Toffees after being handed the reins with Dominic Calvert-Lewin missing a heavy portion of the campaign.

He could step up a level if he is the main man and Farke’s side could do with a physical, imposing attacker as Mateo Joseph has struggled to lead the line and there are doubts around Joel Piroe’s ability to perform at the elite level.

The LS11 outfit need all the help that they can get in their survival bid and their former chief may end up handing them a very big helping hand.
