Aaronson finally axed, two attacking changes – Leeds predicted XI v Swansea

Daniel Farke could make two surprise changes for Leeds United ahead of their clash with Swansea City on Saturday.

Leeds’ form has somewhat faded away in recent weeks, with their latest 2-2 draw with QPR making it just one win in the last four encounters.

With that said, promotion remains on the cards for Leeds, though performances will have to improve ahead of the final eight games of the season.

Taking that into account, Farke could opt for a slightly more unorthodox approach to the game, in a bid to get back to winning ways..

Farke to stick with defensive line

Illan Meslier has faced a lot of criticism this season, though Farke has kept his faith in the Frenchman, and it is unlikely to be any different for the final run-in.

In terms of the four in front of him, it is expected to be much of the same from the draw against QPR, with Jayden Bogle and Junior Firpo occupying the two fullback roles.

Joe Rodon has been one of the more consistent players for Leeds this season, and should retain his place in the back line alongside Pascal Struijk.

The injury to Ethan Ampadu leaves Farke somewhat limited when it comes to his options defensively at Elland Road.

Into the midfield, Farke is likely to stick with Joe Rothwell, knowing the level of experience he can bring to a team in such a crucial period of the season.

Partnering him will be Ao Tanaka, who is all but guaranteed to start every Leeds encounter provided he is fit enough to do so.

Leeds could shake up attacking lineup

Dan James struggled to have much of an influence in the latest fixture, and may just be afforded a slight rest having been away on international duty with Wales over the past 14 days.

Largie Ramazani could take his place on the right flank, with Manor Solomon occupying the opposite wing yet again.

Brenden Aaronson has been a mainstay for Leeds this season, though his performances have often raised the question as to why.

Farke may finally opt to drop the USMNT international and drop Joel Piroe into the 10 role, which is arguably his best position.

That change could potentially open the door for Mateo Joseph to lead the line and stake a claim for his place in the team as we approach the end of the campaign.
