49ers ‘to wow Leeds fans’, they want to sign new central midfielder for £30m

Leeds United now know their priority positions as they enter the transfer market.

Farke has been given £100 million to spend this summer as he looks to keep the Peacocks in the Premier League.

A new striker is already seen as a top target, with Leeds looking to sign Everton’s Beto.

However, more additions are no doubt needed if they are to become the first promoted team in three years to avoid relegation from the Premier League

Now, reports claim that the Yorkshire club is aiming to improve the spine of the team in the summer, with a new midfielder being exactly what the club needs.

£30m central midfielder could be the difference for Leeds in the Premier League

Leeds’ midfield has no doubt been excellent this season.

There were multiple claims that Ao Tanaka should have won the Championship Player of the Season after the Yorkshire club’s title-winning campaign.

However, as seen multiple times over the past two seasons, it can be difficult for Championship stars to make the jump into the Premier League.

Therefore, when Sky Sports (14 May) reported that Leeds were looking to sign a midfielder for £30 million this summer, this should excite Leeds fans.

The 49ers have made it no secret that they want Leeds to become a top club, therefore, it will likely be a big name through the door for that sort of money.

This could easily be the difference between relegation and survival next season, as the window will need to be perfect to achieve this goal.

The 49ers have rarely disappointed in the transfer window, and if they get this signing right, it could lead to some incredible things.

Leeds should look to sign a midfielder from abroad

As much as Premier League experience is highly important, for £30 million, Leeds can get much more value for money looking abroad.

Many of the top-flight’s best have come from foreign leagues for minimal amounts.

Chelsea’s Moisés Caicedo is one of the best examples, with Brighton acquiring the midfielder for a cheap sum.

Hopefully, Farke looks at these markets rather than overspending on a midfielder from the English leagues.
