49ers to reach into pockets at Leeds United amid Keelan Adams transfer reveal

49ers Enterprises must reach deep into the pockets to bring Keelan Adams to Leeds United.

The Whites are monitoring the Falkirk right-back ahead of the January transfer window [Rangers News] as Daniel Farke aims to shore up his defence ahead of the second half of the season.

However, Falkirk boss John McGlynn directly addressed the speculation surrounding the 23-year-old and stated the Scottish Championship outfit are under no financial pressure to sanction a mid-season departure.

With a Premier League return still on the cards, the 49ers must back Farke and submit a bid for Adams that Falkirk cannot refuse ahead of a promotion push.

49ers could secure Leeds United promotion in January

The Whites sit three points adrift of Championship leaders Sheffield United with favourable fixtures heading into the New Year.

Nevertheless, Farke is preparing to add the final pieces of the puzzle to his side at Elland Road to ensure last season’s play-off final defeat to Southampton is not replicated this term.

Despite boasting arguably the best array of attacking options in the second tier, the German wants more firepower, and while a mid-season swoop for Aston Villa forward Emi Buendia remains unlikely at this stage [Beren Cross], a move for Manchester City youngster James McAtee is on the cards and the Whites are prepared to test the waters in January.

But the defence must take priority – Sam Byram and Junior Firpo are entering the final months of their contracts at Elland Road, and the latter is unlikely to be offered a new deal due to concerns regarding his injury history [Yorkshire Evening Post].

Therefore, as much as signing a forward player would whet the appetites of the Leeds faithful, all the attention should be directed towards Scotland and doing whatever it takes to pry Adams away from Falkirk.

Leeds have already been burned by the play-off lottery in the Championship, and securing one of the brightest prospects in Scotland could take the West Yorkshire outfit one step closer to automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Falkirk may not have to sell, but Leeds have the funds needed to ensure the Scottish Championship outfit are unable to say no.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites could be set for a ‘really ugly’ 2025-26 season in a grim prediction.
