49ers ‘sent come-get-me plea by Caoimhin Kelleher’ as Leeds United want transfer
Leeds United could potentially sign Liverpool’s Premier League-winning goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher in the upcoming transfer window.
Illan Meslier lost his place at Elland Road towards the end of the season, and the Whites evidently need a new number next summer.
Daniel Farke relied on Karl Darlow in the final few matches of the campaign, as the West Yorkshire outfit barely clinched the Championship title.
Kelleher is seen as an option at Elland Road to bolster the Peacocks’ goalkeeping department as they return to the top flight after a two-year absence, and the Ireland international has given a come-get-me plea to potential suitors.

Kelleher wants to be number one as 49ers must take transfer opportunity at Leeds United
Kelleher has admitted he wants to play regularly after winning the league title with Liverpool.
The 26-year-old shot-stopper believes he’s good enough to be number one, after paying backup to Alisson at the Reds for several years now.

Having made 10 Premier League appearances for the Merseyside outfit in the current campaign, the Irish goalkeeper is looking for consistent minutes ahead of next summer.
Speaking to Optus Sport (25 May), Kelleher said: “I think I’ve said it before as well, that I feel like I’m good enough to be number one. I feel like I’m good enough to play week in, week out — and that’s what I’m looking to do.”
Farke must push for Kelleher transfer at Elland Road
Farke has undoubtedly lost faith in Meslier, and the German manager should demand the addition of a new goalkeeper in the upcoming transfer window.
The 25-year-old Frenchman made some glaring errors this season and was rightly dropped from the starting lineup.
Now that the Whites have won promotion to the Premier League, it wouldn’t make sense for them to rely on a shot-stopper they didn’t trust in the Championship.
49ers Enterprises shouldn’t miss the opportunity with Kelleher, as he’s seemingly angling for a move away from Liverpool.
The 26-year-old has shown his qualities in recent seasons playing as Alisson’s deputy and would arguably be the number one if it weren’t for the Brazil international.
Giorgi Mamardashvili has already signed for the Reds, and that may give the Irish shot-stopper further incentive to look for another club soon.
Kelleher has proven to be a reliable goalkeeper with top-flight experience, something the West Yorkshire outfit desperately need at Elland Road.
The 49ers must act swiftly as there’ll likely be competition for the 26-year-old’s signing next summer.
