49ers must make ruthless Daniel Farke decision at Leeds after major news elsewhere

The 49ers Enterprises could take one step closer to securing safety for Leeds United with a decision on Daniel Farke.

Premier League survival is the goal for Leeds this season, and they have certainly made a decent attempt at achieving that after the first three games.

Off the back of Leeds’ 0-0 draw against Newcastle, the Whites have picked up four points from a possible nine, though they have only scored one goal.

Regardless of the start, it is going to be a tough ask for Leeds to stay in the top flight, but the 49ers could make one decision to transform their hopes.

Daniel Farke should be sacked and Nuno Espirito Santo appointed

The German did a good job in the Championship, but before the season even began this time round, concerns were raised over Farke’s record in the Premier League.

Calls were made for him to be sacked after promotion, though Paraag Marathe insisted that Farke would remain in charge.

Farke’s Premier League record

At the time, it seemed nonsensical, but after Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked at Nottingham Forest, an opportunity of a lifetime has emerged for the Whites.

Ruthless decisions have to be made to secure survival, and it is no different with Farke.

If Nuno were willing to take the job, the 49ers should sack Farke on the spot and bring the former Forest manager to Elland Road.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds considered hiring Nuno just two years ago, and now could be their chance to strike and secure a massive boost to their survival hopes.

Nuno would keep Leeds in Premier League

Nuno‘s record speaks for itself in the Premier League, and that is the type of ambitious hire that needs to be made at Elland Road.

At Forest, where he secured European football, he averaged 1.48 points per game, which was actually his worst record in the Premier League.

At Tottenham, he had a 1.65ppg, and at Wolves, he had a ratio of 1.68ppg.

It works out at an average of 1.6, which would see Leeds pick up 56 points between now and the end of the season, guaranteeing survival.

While football doesn’t work like that, it’s a clear indication of the qualities he has, and Leeds would be making a huge error by not considering it.
