49ers Enterprises incompetence evident as Jack Harrison transfer details emerge at Leeds
Leeds United have once again gotten rid of Jack Harrison, who has joined Fiorentina on loan in the winter transfer window.
Harrison has completed his move to Italy, with the Serie A club having an option to buy the Englishman for around £6million in the summer.
The 29-year-old has faced heavy criticism from the fanbase in LS11 ever since his decision to join Everton on loan after the Whites’ relegation.
While Daniel Farke tried to reintegrate Farke at Elland Road, it was clear that he wasn’t good enough, and another exit was arguably best for both parties, but the recruitment department should’ve done better, as further terms of the deal have emerged.
Leeds United will still pay Jack Harrison salary
Leeds will contribute a part of Harrison’s salary after his loan move to Fiorentina, according to La Nazione, via Viola News.
The news outlet reports on 17 January that the forward will earn around £2.6m in wages at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, with the Elland Road hierarchy paying some of it out of their pockets.
49ers Enterprises have a mixed reputation among supporters in LS11, with the American owners often accused of being reluctant to spend much on reinforcements.
Facundo Buonanotte has been Farke’s only signing in January, with the Argentina international moving to the West Yorkshire outfit on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion after his stint at Chelsea was cut short.
Profitability and Sustainability Rules have been used as a justification by the Whites’ management, yet they haven’t been able to offload the entirety of Harrison’s wages despite Fiorentina’s strong interest.
There’s also no guarantee the Englishman won’t return to West Yorkshire in the summer, which complicates his future.
Daniel Farke frustration likely with Elland Road transfer call
West Ham United striker Callum Wilson is wanted at Elland Road, with the England international looking to terminate his contract early at the London Stadium.
Leeds could arguably do with more quality options in defence and attack as they look to secure Premier League survival.

Last summer, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha were the two number nines the Whites signed, and they were signed for no transfer fee.
While most of the West Yorkshire outfit’s business from the summer of 2025 has worked out, the 49ers’ evident obsession with free agents is surely frustrating for both fans and Farke alike.
